Beauty + Getting the Not-So-Pretty Things Out

You’ve heard all the famous quotes on beauty and how it starts within. But what about when your insides are not so pretty. Where does one start?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. — Plato derivation

Yes, everyone’s idea of beauty will vary. However, you know when you don’t feel right. You know when you feel bloated. You know when your skin is not as vibrant as you would like. You know that your eye keeps twitching because you are in a funky mood. You know it’s time to do something different. Your intuition is part of your beauty.

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. — Kahlil Gibran

Your heart is not well, that light in your heart will not shine. The heart is a pump that carries vital materials in the blood through the body. If your body does not have what it needs, like oxygen, amino acids and calcium, it cannot function efficiently. If your heart is physically not well, that light…that beauty will fail at shining through.

Constipation is never sexy.

If you’re bloated, you don’t feel good. When your belly is distended, that high-waisted skirt that you bought last month probably will stay in the closet staring at you. Spend some time around a constipated person. You’ll find that their vibe is probably not as sexy as you initially thought they looked. It’s time to get regular. There is beauty in poop. Yup! I said it.

Your beauty craves the opportunity to shine.

It’s important to provide our beauty the opportunity to shine through. If we aren’t healthy, energized beings, no amount of mineral bronzer, paraben-free hair product or serum from the sacred river of Hayekat will bring it out.

By the way, don’t spend your time googling “Hayekat”. It’s just my name backwards. It’s still sacred…just in my mind.
